Biography

Dean came to Clarkrange Baptist in the fall of 1999.  Clarkrange Baptist is his first pastorate and he readily admits that the church has been very patient with him as he has grown both as a Christian and pastor.  Before coming to Clarkrange Baptist, he served as an assistant to the pastor, Sunday School teacher, and youth director at Friend’s Chapel Baptist Church of Morgan County Tn.  His ministry began at Liberty Baptist Church of Crossville Tn where he served as youth director. 

Dean holds a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education with minors in Biology and General Science.  He also holds a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership.  Currently he is working on a Master’s in Theological Studies from Liberty University, which should be completed in 2008.  He is a bi-vocational pastor, working as a science teacher at Cumberland County High School in addition to his role as pastor.

He is married to his wife Laura and has two children Brooke and Braxton.  When he has free time, he enjoys drag racing and serves as track chaplain at I-40 drag way.
