Welcome to Clarkrange Missionary Baptist Church 6250 S. York Hwy., Clarkrange, TN Approximately 2 mi. north of the 127/62 intersection across from the Clarkrange Park. Just look for the large, blue cross! Where Everyone is someone and Jesus Christ is Lord.
Message from the Pastor “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” – Jesus (John 3:16). There is a remarkable balance in this great verse. In it we find love and wrath, grace and judgment, forgiveness and punishment. The love, grace, and forgiveness of God is wrapped up in the gift of His Son Jesus. What greater love can we be the recipients of, than the love of a Father who would sacrifice His own Son so that He might show us the grace of forgiveness. In contrast to His great love we find His awful wrath. This verse speaks of everlasting life to the one who believes in (trusts in) Jesus, but by extension it speaks of a perishing for those who do not. We here at Clarkrange Baptist Church try to strike this balance in our message as well. We try to present the full council of God, by presenting both His great love as well as His terrible judgment. We feel that to exclude one for the sake of the other is dishonoring to God and a disservice to those we are called to minister. Dear friend, God is a God of great judgment and wrath. Our sin is deserving of all the wrath a Holy and Righteous God can and will pour out. But the good news is that God is a God of Love. He poured out that wrath upon Jesus when Jesus died upon the cross of Calvary. For those who put their trust in Jesus, the everlasting life of John 3:16 awaits them in eternity. But those who reject Jesus, by not trusting in Him, will suffer for their own sin eternally in a place of torment called the lake of fire. |
